Cold Pressed Coconut Oil
Cold Pressed Coconut Oil is extracted from Copra (Dried Coconut) by Cold Press Method, which is a process of extracting oil from oil seeds in a traditional way at room temperature. Also it is processed without adding any chemicals or preservatives. Cold pressed coconut oil is unbleached and unrefined which has a fresh aroma of Copra.
Cold pressed coconut oil is always recommended over RBD oil. RBD stands for Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized. If an oil is RBD processed, it removes and destroys all the healthy nutrients of the oil. Cold Pressed Coconut oil is not undergone for any such processes and so it gives the higher nutrient content and healthier as it is in natural form.
Cold Pressed Coconut oil has mild coconut smell and taste. If not, it means that they have been highly refined. If they have no flavor or has high aroma they are essentially RBD oil, even if they did come from fresh coconut.
Some coconut oils have a very strong flavor or coconut smell. This usually indicates a poor quality oil because the smell and taste comes mainly from contaminates and not coconut. Beware of oils that do not taste and smell like fresh coconut.

How We Prepare Cold Pressed Coconut Oil?
Harvesting & Drying
The coconut meat is taken out of shell and it is dried under natural direct sunlight for 10 to 12 days to reduce its moisture content. The resultant dried coconut meat is called copra. Copra is the source for extracting coconut oil.
Pressing & Extraction
The dried copra is fed into the wooden chamber and pressed with wooden presser. This press squeezes the oil out of the copra and is collected for the next level of process.
Sedimentation & Filtration
The oil which is extracted contains the hard particles which has to be separated from oil. This is done by traditional method, sedimentation. The oil is separately taken and again filtered using traditional method of filtering i,e., by using soft cotton cloth the filtration is done.
Packing
Finally, the filtered oil is packed in PET container for sales. The oil shall be good for cooking, hair care and skin care for 4 months, if used raw.
