Cold Pressed Groundnut Oil
Cold Pressed Groundnut Oil is extracted from Groundnut Seeds by Cold Press Method, which is a process of extracting oil from oil seeds in a traditional way at room temperature. Also it is processed without adding any chemicals or preservatives. Cold Pressed Groundnut oil is unbleached and unrefined which has a fresh aroma of Copra.
Cold pressed groundnut oil is always recommended over RBD oil. RBD stands for Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized. If an oil is RBD processed, it removes and destroys all the healthy nutrients of the oil. Cold Pressed groundnut oil is not undergone for any such processes and so it gives the higher nutrient content and healthier as it is in natural form.
Cold Pressed Groundnut oil has mild Groundnut smell and taste. If not, it means that they have been highly refined. If they have no flavor or has high aroma they are essentially RBD oil, even if they did come from fresh Groundnut seeds.
Some Groundnut oils have a very strong flavor or Groundnut smell. This usually indicates a poor quality oil because the smell and taste comes mainly from contaminates and not Groundnut. Beware of oils that do not taste and smell like fresh Groundnut.
